| The museum is very child-friendly, with a Sensory Trail, lots of hands-on activities, baby changing facilities and a lift for buggies. Sensory maps, bags and ear defenders are always available to borrow for free from the reception area. A ramp and a lift provide wheelchair access to all areas of the museum, and accessible toilets are available. |

This recently transformed, award-winning museum is home to the Heart of Cornwall Gallery, sharing the story of all that is unique and captivating about Cornwall. The new Mineral and Nature Galleries offer immersive, family-friendly visitor experiences, alongside an exciting programme of exhibitions and events.
This vibrant regional museum is a great destination for a family day out, with a lift, changing facilities and a welcoming team of staff and volunteers. There’s a wonderful café and art shop next door, and the historic building is close to Truro train and bus stations.

The museum and gallery is in a central spot in Truro, close to the train and bus stations and all of the city's main car parks. Why not combine a visit with a trip to Truro Cathedral, Truro Farmers Market, or a browse of the many independent shops and galleries of Cornwall's capital city? The Art Café next door to the museum is excellent for coffee and cake, or a nourishing lunch.
