Best Days Out Cornwall

Cornwall Association of Tourist Attractions

Cornwall Association of Tourist Attractions (CATA) was formed in 1974 to create and promote top-quality visitor experiences in the region. Today, the association comprises 40 of the best attractions in Cornwall, with a supportive network encouraging knowledge sharing and collective action.

A voice for industry excellence, CATA carries out regular inspections of member attractions to raise and maintain standards, while also acting as an advocate for Cornish tourism. Alongside this, the organisation promotes its members through strategic partnerships and public relations.

Its high-profile marketing platform, Best Days Out Cornwall, can be found online and in print, and offers inspiration for memorable days out across the county. As part of the CATA network, every attraction featured by Best Days Out Cornwall participates in regular inspections to guarantee unforgettable experiences for visitors.

With everything from country houses and castles to mines and museums – as well as gardens, galleries, theme parks and railways – the platform has a wealth of days out to choose from. Available through its website, social media and a printed guide, it serves as a handy shortlist of the highest quality attractions in Cornwall.

Cornwall Association of Tourist Attractions has three core goals:
