Uncover the rich history of the independent family brewery, from its humble 19th-century beginnings to the pioneering and diverse business it is today. Interactive brewery tours put you at the heart of the creative process behind St Austell’s award-winning ales, while both the Hicks Bar and shop offer the chance to indulge in flagship and small batch brews, with some tasty food to boot. A fascinating day out throughout the year.
Explore the rich history of the St Austell Brewery, discovering brewing techniques that have remained almost completely unchanged since we first opened our doors in 1863. We run two different brewery tours, the Sampling Sessions or the Brewery Experience. Find out more on our website.
If you don't have time for one of our two tours, you can still enjoy our visitor centre where you'll delve into the history of the brewery.
With indoor and outdoor seating available, get a true taste of Cornwall and quench your thirst with one of our flagship beers - or, perhaps some of our unique Small Batch Brews. You'll find something to satisfy every taste inside the famous Hicks Bar, with delicious, locally sourced dishes to accompany our top-quality pints.
