Or indulge in a delicious cream tea on the train or lunch at one of the station cafes, which can also be found on the mainlines Bodmin Parkway and Liskeard.
Book onto a selection of special events and experiences, ranging from evening Murder Mystery Trains, Sea Shanty Evenings, Steam Galas, Evening Dining Trains, Santa Specials and Driving Day Experiences – the railway offers something for everyone! Private venue hire, coach hire and weddings are also available at the railway; bookings now being taken.
The Railway varies its opening dates and times depending whether they are in peak or non-peak season, so please check their website for the most up to date information. The non-peak season runs from March (selected dates), then from April to July and October. The peak season runs August through to September. The Railway is closed during all other months, except December when it runs on selective dates for the Santa Special Trains.
Visitors are strongly encouraged to book their trip in advance - especially during the summer months, and on rainy days as the Railway can get very busy at these times.
Visitors should arrive half an hour before they are due to travel to allow themselves enough time to park, collect their tickets and buy any food that they wish to purchase. Those visitors who have bought tickets online still need to check in on arrival with the booking office. If you want to travel on a quieter day, the weekends tend to be less busy.
