The Season of the Witch exhibit explores the county’s infamous witch trials, the folklore that shaped centuries of fear and belief, and the lives of those who were accused, condemned and remembered. Who were they, and what really happened to them?
Walking with Witches guided tour
Go further into the jail’s darker history on a guided tour of Cornwall’s connections to witchcraft, folklore and superstition. You’ll hear the stories of Joan Wytte and Anne Jefferies, and find out how belief and fear shaped the lives of the accused.
