ouch, play and move with sculpture at STUDIO DO, as artist duo Leap Then Look (Lucy Cran and Bill Leslie) transforms the Foyle Studio at Tate St Ives into a space for play, imagination and movement. Inspired by the wheeled ‘dancing plinths’ Barbara Hepworth used to move her sculptures around her St Ives studios, the new interactive artworks explore how our bodies respond to sculpture. STUDIO DO is Tate St Ives’s holiday programme for children, parents and carers, with space for self-directed making, experimenting and time out from the galleries. To keep exploring, pick up a free sketchbook or activity card, or borrow an Explorer Backpack to take around the galleries.
Supported using public funding by the National Lottery through Arts Council England.
