At the foot of garden you’ll find Polgwidden Cove, Trebah’s private beach exclusively for garden visitors. A sheltered suntrap, the cove is a hidden gem and the perfect stop for a Cornish ice cream, skimming a stone or taking a refreshing dip in the sea.
Children can enjoy fun, educational nature trails which will engage them with the garden, and there are two jungle play areas to keep kids of all ages entertained during your visit.

Via Ferrata is a tremendously fun and unique high wire adventure throughout stunning historic granite quarries near Falmouth! You’ll scramble up the quarry faces, balance across high wire bridges, tackle high challenges and fly through the air on our highest and longest zip wire. In one epic journey you’ll get to push your limits, conquer fears and feel a huge sense of achievement. Routes cater for adventurers aged 8+ through to adrenaline junkies.
Fly round the stunning quarry to your heart’s content, building confidence with every ride with Zip Wire Safari! Part way through you’ll also get to traverse across the cliff edge to get from one zip wire to the next, adding to the excitement. The zip wires are dual, so you’ll have the fun of soaring round with loved ones! Minimum age 10+.
Finally, there’s Coasteering in the quarry, watersports, climbing and archery.
There’s plenty to do for toddlers, younger children and the less adventurous too! The Cornish Barista’s Quarryside Café offers amazing treats. There’s also a wild play area for under 10’s and some gorgeous adventure nature trails! Dogs on leads are also welcome on the trails and in the Café.

For fun family days out, Trengwainton’s got you covered all summer long with their Summer of Play. Make special memories together building a den in the woods; indulge your competitive streak with tug of war in the orchard, skittles or a match-two memory game.
Take turns to cool off in the water stocks or try some gentle creativity with loose parts play or colouring. With over 10 activities to choose from you can try them all, then come back again and again throughout the summer. It’s a great way to leave with happy-tired kids and all activities are included with admission.
Alternatively, simply enjoy the colourful garden and winding wooden paths that open onto sea views. With ponds, streams and giant tree fern glades, along with grassy areas and wide-open spaces there’s plenty of room to make your own play.

Wheal Martyn Clay Works is proud to be celebrating 50 years of sharing Cornwall’s china clay mining story this year and is hosting some extra special events to celebrate!
Follow in the footsteps of a young clay miner and immerse yourself in their Day in the Life of a Kettle Kid trail – carry a traditional kettle, dress up in period clothing, take a fun photograph and play historic themed games as well as discover the real-life story of Arthur, who worked his whole career in the clay industry, starting as a kettle boy. Available from Saturday 26 July.
Also, get creative with clay, paint and decorations to make your very own kettle kid or other creation inspired by your visit. Kettle Kid Activities will be available weekdays from Monday 28 July.
