The St Mawes Ferry links the busy maritime port of Falmouth with the harbour village of St Mawes on the Roseland Peninsula — a 20-minute trip across the Carrick Roads, passing Pendennis and St Mawes castles, the working docks and Black Rock, with dolphins and seals often putting in an appearance. Four classic wooden boats run the 2.8-mile route seven days a week, all year round, saving a 29-mile drive. Dogs and bikes welcome.
