History will be brought to life in a series of immersive workshops and performances by popular theatre company Live History at Wheal Martyn Clay Works from Tuesday 30 May to Thursday 1 June.
Live History is an international touring theatre company which produces site specific mysteries around the world. Three performances of ‘Behind Glass’ will run each day between 30 May and 1 June. The exhibits at the museum have come to life but nobody knows who the culprit behind the mayhem is! In this promenade outdoor theatre, puzzle-solving adventure, participants must team up with fellow visitors and historical characters to look for clues around the museum. These performances are suitable for ages 12 and over, with hot food and refreshments available for selected performances.
A different workshop will also run on each day: historic dance, historic magic tricks and theatre improvisation. Booking is essential for all performances and workshops.
Sue Ford, Museum Manager, said, “We are really excited to welcome Live History to Wheal Martyn at the end of the month. This will be a truly immersive adventure for visitors, bringing the historic grounds of our china clay works to life. This is Live History’s only performance in the South West this year, so don’t miss out.”
