Trelissick, the much-loved National Trust place near Truro, is going all out for the holidays with a summer of non-stop family fun to keep kids active, creative and smiling.
From archery Mondays to fancy dress Fridays, there’s something new to try every single day until Tuesday 2nd September. Whether it’s racing across the lawn, learning circus skills or relaxing with outdoor yoga, every visit promises a fresh adventure at one of Cornwall’s top spots for play.
The stables have been transformed into a creative play zone, complete with a storytelling stage, dressing-up station and space for families to unleash their imaginations. Outside, children can challenge each other to tennis and lawn games, take on a garden trail, or simply enjoy time together in nature.
“We know families are looking for affordable ways to enjoy the summer holidays, and Trelissick’s Summer of Play is all about making great memories outdoors,” said Emily Hide, Visitor Experience Officer. “There are different activities every day, so you really can play on repeat throughout the summer.”
Summer of Play is free with normal admission and made possible thanks to support from Starling Bank. Entry is free for National Trust members. Dogs on short leads are welcome in the garden – just keep paws on the paths.
Trelissick isn’t the only National Trust place in Cornwall bringing the fun this summer. Families can make the most of the holidays with a whole host of play-packed days out at National Trust places across the county.
With every site offering a unique mix of activities – many of them free with admission – families can roam, run, build, balance, and imagine their way through summer.
Whether it’s a one-off treat or a weekly tradition, Summer of Play is all about making the most of nature, trying new things, and spending time together. And thanks to support from Starling Bank, there’s more on offer than ever before.
