Celebrate the muddy, magical miracle that is soil with Trengwainton’s half-term trail!
When’s it on? 15 February to 08 March (closed Fridays & Saturdays) from 10am to 5pm.
In collaboration with the charity World Book Day, you’re invited to discover all sorts of fun facts about the ground beneath your feet and the mini-beasts that live in it, through text and illustrations from Wonder World Earth by Ben Lerwill and Xuan Le, published by Nosy Crow in collaboration with the National Trust.
Along the way you can spin the ‘earthy pose’ wheel, wriggle like a worm, hop like a rabbit and dig like a mole as you explore the walled gardens and orchard* as they wake from their winter slumber.
*Due to severe storm damage, the walled garden, orchard, café, shop and bookshop will be the only areas of the garden open at this time.
Please check Trengwainton’s website before travelling in case of further storm closures. No need to book. Admission free for National Trust members, details of other admission prices on website.
