Our holiday studio programme creates immersive installations and play-based activities that offer self-directed art experiences for children, parents and carers. Each STUDIO DO responds to the themes and broader art movements of our exhibitions and collection displays, while providing a space to test out making, experiment with ideas and take time out from the galleries. Make, play, rest, and use the studio in your own way to explore art at Tate St Ives.
This October we welcome Leap then Look to transform STUDIO DO into a participatory sculpt, move and play space for half term. Led by artists Lucy Cran and Bill Leslie, visitors of all ages are invited to explore art through interaction, collaboration and making.
This marks the beginning of Palais Play, a three-year project between Tate St Ives and Leap then Look. This new families programme is inspired by Barbara Hepworth and developed as part of the re-imagining of the Palais de Danse , Hepworth’s second studio in St Ives.
