Nestled in the heart of Cornwall’s countryside, near Launceston, Hidden Valley is a puzzling attraction where adventure, discovery, and fun come together. Perfect for curious minds and explorers, this award-winning attraction offers a family day out filled with puzzles, trails, and interactive experiences that will visitors of all ages can enjoy.  Immerse yourself in some baffling trails, solve the clues, shrink, grow and appear upside down. Every corner you turn, reveals quirky goings-on and much amusement. 

One of Hidden Valley’s biggest draws is the adventure trails, including a mile-long train ride,  where families can follow enchanting woodland paths, solve clues, and unravel mysteries together. From secret doors to cleverly hidden puzzles, every twist and turn brings a new challenge. The beautifully landscaped gardens and peaceful surroundings offer a relaxing way to explore Cornwall’s natural beauty, and the cafe serves a tempting selection of homemade cakes, lunches, and refreshments.

The park is open daily from 10am, with last entry at 2pm. Seasonal opening times apply, so please check the Hidden Valley website before your visit.

Is there a cafe?

When it’s time to take a break from adventuring, the Watering Hole is the perfect place to refuel. You’ll find plenty of tasty treats to keep energy levels high, from freshly made sandwiches, to traditional Cornish favourites. Enjoy a proper Cornish coffee, tuck into a warm pasty or sausage roll, or treat yourself to a classic cream tea. And of course, there are ice creams and sweet treats!

"An excellent find for a family day out. A cross between a treasure hunt, maze and escape room set in a large outside area. On site restaurant serving limited hot food at lunch time to eat outside, as well as drinks and cake. Our kids are 13 and 17 and both found it really good, and there is an easier trail as well for younger children."
"Absolutely a hidden gem in Cornwall. So much fun for my partner, son and myself. We very much enjoyed the mansion and the Indiana trail, the Sherlock trail was great too though definitely too difficult for kids. More challenging because signal is sparse so there’s no running to Google to figure out the clues. Overall, a fantastic day out and great value for money."
"This place was amazing. Fun for all ages. The gardens are beautiful with places to walk round and see. The puzzle trails were lots of fun and the Sherlock Holmes trail was really challenging. The forbidden mansion had a fun quiz to complete and the Moriarty challenges within were also exciting. Would have loved to spend an extra day here!"

How often are the clues changed?
The clues are updated every year, so each visit promises a brand-new adventure. If you don’t manage to complete your trail in one day, you’re always welcome to return and finish it another time – or why not try a different trail on your next visit for a completely new challenge?
What if it's raining?
Rain doesn’t stop the adventure at Hidden Valley! Many of our puzzles are indoors, and there’s a large undercover seating area where you can take a break and plan your next move. We’ve welcomed countless families who have enjoyed a full day of clue-solving fun, even in the pouring rain.
