This fascinating new exhibition based on crystalline salt structures draws a parallel between the harvesting of salt and the mining of china clay and is the inspiration behind ceramicist Caroline Winn’s new exhibition.
‘Expressions of Salt and China Clay Traces’ will be on display at Wheal Martyn from Friday 3 May. It features a new body of ceramic work which explores Caroline’s ‘Salt Journey’ and will include collagraph prints of these works, as well as new pieces created with china clay dug from the Wheal Martyn pit.
