The combination of photography and poetry helps evoke a sense of understanding of the Cornish china clay industry – how it was, how it operated, and what has become of it in the centuries since its founding.
Each image has been carefully selected and placed to give a sense of Wheal Martyn’s past and present. Together with Alexander’s poetry, the team want to encourage visitors to write and send in their own poetry around Clay Country.
If you feel inspired to write some poetry yourself then please email [email protected] or tag Wheal Martyn on social media @whealmartyn.
While you’re at Wheal Martyn, make sure you also check out Agan Kernow: Make it Better, a new exhibition of local community photography exploring how photography can promote better health and wellbeing.
Free exhibition (normal museum admission applies).
