Cotehele’s Gwel an Bleujenn (View of the blossom)

Join Cotehele as they celebrate the beauty of blossom with a blossom procession! 

Booking not needed. This event is free, but normal admission charges apply for the venue. 
Saturday 26 April 2025, 2pm to 3pm 

Process through the blossom, giving thanks to the flowers and the promise of the fruit that will follow. Gwel an bleujenn means ‘view of the blossom’ in Cornish. 

Enjoy music by community musicians from Calstock Samba Band, Kelliwick Golowi, The Rubber Band and Mayfest Musicians. There will be poetry read by Sally Crabtree and dance by Moondance studios among the blossoming trees. There will also be group singing with Rosie Fierek. Dancing and costumes encouraged! 

Partners for Festival of Blossom include Green Communities, Tamara Landscape Partnership, Devon & Cornwall Rail Partnership and Tamar Grow Local will also be bringing creative activities and information on the day. 

Meet outside Visitor Welcome to start the procession at 2pm. 
Wear sturdy shoes and weather appropriate clothing. 
There is step free access, but the ground is grassy and uneven underfoot. 

No dogs permitted in the orchards and formal gardens.
