Wavehunters is dedicated to showcasing the beauty of the Cornish coast through surf lessons, sea safaris, yoga, and fitness classes. The sea safaris offer an unforgettable way to explore Cornwall’s stunning coastline and diverse marine life by boat. With surf schools located at Polzeath and Watergate Bay, they provide lessons for all abilities, ensuring an exhilarating experience for beginners and seasoned surfers alike.
Wavehunters operates a variety of trips aboard their fleet, which includes three 10-meter RIBs and a 10-meter slow boat catamaran that also serves as the Water Taxi. Departing from Rock, Padstow, and Port Isaac, offerings include sea safaris, private charters, and estuary river trips. Private charters take guests to some of the most picturesque picnic and swimming spots while also providing opportunities to encounter Cornwall’s incredible marine life.
Throughout the spring and summer seasons, the Water Taxi runs in the evenings, seamlessly taking over from the daytime Harbour Ferry. This convenient service offers a scenic 7-10 minute crossing between Rock and Padstow—an effortless alternative to the 34-minute journey by road. Whether following a delicious meal or a leisurely evening stroll, the Water Taxi provides a stress-free and picturesque way to travel.
On a sea safari, you’ll explore the stunning Cornish coastline and encounter incredible wildlife along the way. Keep your eyes on the water for seals lounging on the rocks, dolphins leaping through the waves, and maybe even a whale surfacing in the distance. Wavehunters brings top-quality surf lessons to Polzeath and Watergate Bay, catering to all ages and skill levels. Whether it’s your first wave or refining advanced techniques with video analysis, there’s a lesson for you. Group sessions are capped at eight people of similar ability, with all gear included if needed. Each lesson lasts two hours.
