The world famous Jamaica Inn is a 1750’s coaching inn high on wild and beautiful Bodmin Moor just off the A30 halfway between Launceston and Bodmin – the perfect base to visit anywhere in Cornwall or Devon in a day and still be back in time for dinner.
It now has 36 bedrooms and suites, a large restaurant, pub, a Cornish Smuggling Museum, Daphne du Maurier Museum, Farm Shop, Gift Shop and a giant pirate ship kids can climb on.
Enjoy a traditional breakfast from 7.15am and delicious Light Bites or home-made hearty meals right through to 9pm.
New bedrooms with great moorland views, olde worlde bedrooms with romantic 4-poster beds plus roaring log fires throughout winter and great views over Bodmin Moor from gardens in summer.
Jamaica Inn is open all year round apart form Christmas Day.
Home to a Daphne du Maurier museum - much loved author of the famous Jamaica Inn novel and many others - as well as the Cornish Smuggling Museum, you’ll find fascinating artefacts at these small museums. Don’t miss them on your visit to Jamaica Inn.
