Set into the cliffside above the deep turquoise waters of Porthcurno beach, this open-air theatre is open during the winter months for theatre and garden visits. For just £12 per adult you can wander around the cliffs, exploring the dramatic scenery.

Visit St Michael’s Mount Village, shops, cafe and art gallery for FREE until 30th April
A visit to St Michael’s Mount is a must any time of year, but in winter, it feels especially serene. The island is home to a medieval castle, subtropical gardens, and stunning panoramic views of the coastline. During the winter season access to the harbour, village, shops, cafés and gallery is free. Please note, the island will be closed to all visitors from January 6th to January 27th inclusive.
Explore Trelissick house and gardens for £15 per person
Trelissick Gardens, nestled in the heart of Cornwall, is a perfect winter escapism. This National Trust property offers visitors sweeping views over the River Fal and peaceful walks through woodlands, hedgerows, and along the water. In winter, the gardens are a haven of calm, with seasonal blooms like camellias and winter bulbs providing bursts of colour.
Entry for non-National Trust members is £15, but the experience is well worth it. For a budget-friendly option, National Trust members can access the gardens for free, making it a great winter day out for those with a membership card.
Follow in the footsteps of kings at Pendennis Castle for £29.40 per family
Situated on a headland overlooking the sea, Pendennis Castle is one of Henry VIII’s finest seaside fortresses. In the winter, Pendennis Castle is quieter, so you can explore its historic rooms, take in the panoramic coastal views from the ramparts at your own pace.
The castle is open on weekends only during the Winter months, and advance family tickets are £29.40 for two adults and up to three children.
Take the to the ice at the Eden Project
The Eden Project is one of Cornwall’s most famous attractions, the biomes are a great way to escape the chill, offering a tropical paradise even when it’s frosty outside. You can enjoy the ice rink until 23rd February, a family skating session for four is £34. To skate you’ll need to purchase a general admission ticket as well (£38 per adult and £12 for child, children under five are free), but this will give you unlimited entry to the biomes, gardens and seasonal events for one year.

Land’s End – FREE for walks and views!
Land’s End is the iconic spot where the land meets the sea, and while it’s famous for its summer crowds, winter provides a whole different kind of experience. With windswept cliffs and dramatic waves, it’s the perfect spot for a winter walk. After your walk head to the newly refurbished Cafe for a laid-back lunch overlooking Greeb Farm and the Atlantic ocean.

Find your inner Robin Hood with archery session at Via Feratta for just £12 per person, while you’re there you can discover the free nature trails and wild play areas – all set in the beautiful landscapes of disused quarries near Falmouth.
Take the ferry to St Mawes for £44 per family
Discover the picturesque St Mawes via Ferry from the Prince of Wales Pier in Falmouth. Once in St Mawes, you can walk, skim stones on the beach or visit the St Mawes Castle and shops and galleries before returning to Falmouth.
A family (two adults and up to three children) return ticket on the St Mawes Ferry is £44 and, in the winter, it operates every hour from the Prince of Wales Pier in Falmouth.
